Diodes AP62600 , introduced in February of this year, won the Optimization Development category. A synchronous DC-DC buck converter, the AP62600 was developed for point-of-load (POL) conversion in applications such as TVs, monitors, white goods, home appliances, and consumer electronics.
Award judges noted that "The AP62600’s proprietary gate driver scheme, combined with fast transient response, can reduce high-frequency radiated EMI and minimize switching node ringing. Furthermore, this product provides customers with great advantages in development, and the ability to select between switching frequencies of 400kHz, 800kHz, and 1.2MHz provides engineering teams with greater flexibility, which will help optimize components, improve efficiency, or create smaller form factor designs."
