Docking

Docking station or a dock is a simplified way of “plugging-in” your laptop or PC to common peripherals such as Type-C, USB 2.0/3.0/3.1, eSATA, video connectors (VGA, HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, MHL, MyDP), Audio, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, etc. The newer laptops are offered in thinner, lighter form factors, and do not offer the space to add multiple connectors. Therefore, docking stations or port replicators are an ideal companion device to any notebook PC, ultra-book, tablet PC, and/or a smartphone user.

Diodes Incorporated helps by ensuring all high speed signals that need to travel through the PC-like device and into the docking station maintain its signal integrity. With our video ReDrivers (HDMI, DVI, and DP), USB 3.0/3.1 ReDrivers, eSATA 6G ReDrivers, and PCIe ReDrivers, and signal switch solutions, docking station designs are guaranteed to pass compliance tests for all of the high speed signal standards.
