The GFAB Diodes Incorporated wafer fabrication facilities are located in Greenock, Scotland (UK). GFAB has ~300 employees and produces both analog ICs and discrete components. These products are used in a wide variety of different markets, including automotive, industrial, consumer, communications, and computing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of the Manufacturing IT Applications Developer is primarily to develop software which centers on the control of manufacturing equipment and the interaction with other related systems.
A typical piece of software for controlling a manufacturing tool uses a common framework to do the following:
The IT Developer will work on projects which will include complete development of a manufacturing toolset from the beginning through to a successful deployment.
This will involve working closely with other departments to ensure a smooth introduction of the tools to the manufacturing area and thereafter to enhance their capability.
There also additionally development activities which are undertaken on other applications and analysis solutions in operation at the site.
Qualifications/Experience:
The successful candidate will have suitable IT experience or a BSc Degree (First or 2:1) or higher in computing science or equivalent.
