Inside Sales Reprensentative - Oldham, UK

An opportunity has arisen in the European Sales team for an Inside Sales Rep to support our business in Germany and applications are invited from interested individuals.

The business is rapidly expanding, and the purpose of this role is to work with the Regional Sales Managers and our distribution partners and assist with quoting, opportunity development and overall sales growth to ensure that we continue to develop and grow the business.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inside support for external field sales for quoting, sampling, forecasting, transfer business tracking to Asia
  2. Regular review and analysis of quote, sample and design registration activity and follow up/qualification of identified key business opportunities:
    • with Regional Sales Managers (RSM), outside field sales
    • with local sales offices of Diodes Incorporated's distribution partners in the region, in agreement with RSM
  3. Support of RSMs, Field Application Engineers (FAEs) with accurate and informative sales reports; demand for efficient creation activities and to resolve issues as required
    • Analysis of distributor sales reports versus history or provided forecasts and follow up on identified significant lost businesses and unsolicited sales wins
  4. Business reviews in distribution offices on request by RSMs to follow up on business activities


Personal Profile:

  • Good team worker capable of inspiring and developing enthusiasm in the group
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Fluent spoken German required
  • Good analytical skills (mainly through use of Excel) and capability to analyse large amounts of data and report effectively on this to others
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self driven, self motivated with autonomous work style
  • Accountable and objective/success driven
  • Strive for ownership and task conclusion

Reporting obligations/ Performance Indicators:

  • Key new business opportunities identified & achieved closure rates
  • Overall distribution sales revenue

Travel Requirements:

  • Regular review meetings with Diodes sales team primarily in the Manchester Office, as well as with distribution partners across Europe on demand

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a B2B (business to business) environment
  2. Several years' experience in a fulfilment function (inside sales, customer service or planning) at a manufacturer or distributor or semiconductor or other electronic components
  3. Good contacts/ Network to European semiconductor distribution network would be appreciated
