Description

The AL1678 is a high efficiency and high accuracy converter for LED driver. It is a universal buck solution. The AL1678 provides accurate constant current (CC) regulation.

The AL1678B integrates a 0.8A/500V MOSFET, the AL1678C integrates 1.0A/500V MOSFET and the AL1678D integrates a 2.0A/500V MOSFET. These products can cover 3W to 15W’s mainly application.

It only has a few external components can realize a good constant current performance. The AL1678 controls the system operating at boundary conduction mode (BCM) which is good for EMI.

The AL1678 features low start-up current, extremely low operation current which can remove the auxiliary winding for IC’s power supply. It has thermal fold back function which can reduce the output current when the driver’s temperature is higher than the setting value. The thermal fold back function can improve the system reliability. It has rich protection features including overvoltage, short circuit, over temperature protection.
