The ZXCT1009 is a high side current sense monitor. Using this device eliminates the need to disrupt the ground plane when sensing a load current. It takes a high side voltage developed across a current shunt resistor and translates it into a proportional output current. A user defined output resistor scales the output current into a ground-referenced voltage. The wide input voltage range of 20V down to as low as 2.5V make it suitable for a range of applications. A minimum operating current of just 4μA, combined with its SOT23 package make it a unique solution for portable battery quipment.

    Diodes Incorporated's current monitors are high-performance, high-side/power rail current measurement ICs. They greatly simplify the measurement of load currents without disturbing the ground plane/reference point.

    The current monitor families contain variants with quiescent currents as low as 3µA, and others with operating voltages up to 60V, proving solutions for overcurrent detection in consumer, industrial, and automotive applications. The portfolio includes current output variants which via an external resistor to ground to provide adjustable gain, and voltage output variants with fixed gains.

    Automotive-compliant variants are available which are qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 1 in IATF 16949 facilities supporting PPAP documentation.
