UK Gender Pay Gap Report

From 6th April 2017 employers in Great Britain with more than 250 staff have been required by law to publish the following four types of figures annually on their own web site and on a government website:

    • Gender pay gap (mean and median averages)
    • Gender bonus gap (mean and median averages)
    • Proportion of men and women receiving bonuses
    • Proportion of men and women in each quartile of the organisation's pay structure

We meet the statutory reporting threshold and therefore under the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 now carry out annual Gender Pay Reporting. The publication of results must be done within one calendar year of April 5th and shows the difference between the average earnings of men and women in our organisation: it will not involve publishing individual employees data.

We can use these results to assess:

    • the levels of gender equality in our workplace
    • the balance of male and female employees at different levels
    • how effectively talent is being maximised and rewarded

The challenge in our organization and across Great Britain is to eliminate any gender pay gap.
