Sr. CAD and Backend Verification Engineer - Milpitas, CA
Diodes Incorporated is seeking a Senior CAD and Backend Verification engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ASIC chip backend verification and CAD support.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand deep submicron ASIC design methodology
- Must have hands-on experience to setup foundry PDK and design environment
- Work with ASIC team to verify chip level and block P&R layout database from database conversion, run LVS/DRC, Dummyfill to final GDS tapeout and E-job view
- Able to debug LVS/DRC and work with design engineer and layout designer
- CAD support task including PDK installation, setup environment, engineer/layout designer usage and techfile/runset support
- EDA tool license installation, monitoring
- PERL, AWK, shell programming ability to develop in-house utility and script
- Ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with company design, safety, quality, compliance and procedural standards
- Interact with team, as necessary to obtain critical design information necessary to complete project within intended time frame
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Requires a BSEE/MSEE degree
- 5-10 years semiconductor industry backend verification and CAD support experience
- Is familiar with:
- Cadence Virtuoso schematic editor, ADE, Layout-XL, PVS, QRC, SKILL code programming
- Mentor Calibre RVE,DRC,LVS,xRC
- Synopsys Hercules, RCXT
- Linux Redhat, WIndow PC/Laptop, VNC, VPN C shell programming
- Good communication skills, team player
- Work closely with other engineers and departments to ensure a coordinated design and successful tapeout
- Must be well-organized, self-directed, a self-starter, highly motivated, and a proactive problem solver with the ability to get results
