Senior Process Modeling (TCAD) Engineer - South Portland, ME
Diodes Incorporated (Diodes) is seeking a Senior Process Modeling (TCAD) Engineer who will join the Technology Development team at the South Portland, Maine Fab (SPFAB). This is an opportunity to take a collaborative approach in implementing traditional and nontraditional IC processes.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Modeling the interaction of materials, process, design rules, circuit topology/architecture on device and circuit performance
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of engineers to solve the most important problems in device simulation and design
- Requires individual technical contributions and collaboration with a cross functional team of engineers
- Develops robust, maintainable, and efficient code as well as testing and documenting newly developed features
- Integration & Electrical impacts:
- Electrical characterization and understanding of unit process inputs versus electrical responses and sensitivities
- Testing and understanding/correlation of unit process targets and limits to the required electrical specs
- Understanding of device physics and device construction to a level whereupon intelligent decisions are made regarding unit process and integration
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field; Ph.D. preferred
- 5 + years of experience in solid state physics and experienced in computational simulation of semiconductor devices
- Experience in semiconductor fab processing
- A solid working knowledge of device physics and process integration
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed (2-6 trips per year)
- Familiarity with commercial TCAD tools such as Silvaco or Sentaurus is preferred
- Six Sigma training (Black or Green Belt), and/or lean manufacturing certification is a plus
- Excellent SPC/DoE methodology will be differentiating
