Senior Logistics Manager - Plano, Tx

Diodes Incorporated is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager for our corporate office in Plano, TX. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Planning.  As a member of the Supply Chain Management team, the Senior Logistics Manager will manage the company’s distribution centers in a manner that is efficient and cost-effective. The Senior Logistics Manager will provide teams around the world with the leadership and direction required to meet goals and objectives of the company, manage logistics systems, and the activities of the traffic department, including all outbound shipments to customers. 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and control products from Manufacturing sites to the end customer's forwarder or collections point;
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer expedite issues around the world, specifically in US, China, Taiwan, and Europe
  • Responsible for the maintenance of reports, process documentation, and service metrics
  • Direct outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities and logistics quality management.
  • Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency
  • Negotiate transportation rates in all regions.  Must have an expert understanding of China’s Customs rules and regulations
  • Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding all financial goals for the department.  Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state and Department of Transportation (D.O.T.), as well as CTPAT certifications worldwide
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
  • Responsible for optimal route structure and implementation, routing systems, demand planning, and overall logistics support.
  • Serve as the focal point for the administration and oversight of the logistics process as well as tactical interactions with suppliers. This will include benchmarking, negotiating and managing third party vendor contracts and service levels.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • BS in Business Administration or Supply Chain; MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics to include management experience
  • Proficiency in Oracle, ASCP, and Demantra
  • Highly driven and strong communication skills
  • Ability to think analytically, problem solver and process oriented
  • International travel required
