Customer Service Representative - Oldham, UK
An opportunity has arisen for the vacancy within our Customer Service Team as a Representative. This role is reporting to the Customer Service Manager and working out of our Oldham site, as part of the wider European team. There will be a requirement to travel occassionaly to customer sites, trade fair shows and internal Diodes Incorporated sites.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service support
- Customer order/forecast entry
- Backlog maintenance, including reviewing, anylyzing, expediting, and applying changes to customer backlog
- Stock checks and security stock monitoring/maintenance
- Identify, internally escalate, and solve any potential delivery problems
- Proactive follow up with customers on sales orders
- Provide customer satisfaction by close co-operation with Field Sales personnel
- Act as a key interface between customer and factory planning organizations (UK, Asia) to ensure optimal product supply and logistic service performance for the customer
- Liaise with customers through all steps of the logistic process
- Customer claim coordination
- Provide tracking details, documents, reports, etc. to the customer
- Codrdinate credit/debit note requests
- Distribution stock returns creation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Fast response time and quality care of customer enquiries
- Service performance (on-time delivery) to key customers
- Ideal candidate will posess a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent e.g. import/export management
- Experience in customer service, inside sales or import/export management, ideally in a similar market environment
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential
- Desirable to have good working level of written and spoken German and basic knowledge of French
- Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills
- Pragmatic and accountable work style, combined with good analytic skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work acording to set procedures
- Strive for onwership and task conclusion
- Good communication skills; self-motivated with autonomous workstyle
- Strong Excel skills and experience with data entry and data maintenance in MRP systesms (e.g Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Strong team player with capability to work independently
- Resilient to higher pressures in peak periods
