Title: Rectifier controller optimises flyback converter design
Synopsis: Zetex Semiconductors has introduced a dedicated rectifier controller for driving MOSFETs so that they perform as ‘ideal diodes�™ in synchronous flyback converters ranging from 50 to 150W. The ZXGD3101 enables designers to replace lossy Schottky diodes, with surface mount MOSFETs to achieve higher efficiency, less heat generation, a reduction in power supply size and weight and a simplification of overall circuit design.
