Process/Product Engineer (SBR BU), Plano, TX

Diodes Incorporated is seeking a Process/Product Engineer (SBR BU) to interface with design engineers, application engineers and product engineers as well as semiconductor wafer fabs and package manufacturing to define new process technology, as well as porting and supporting process for existing product line.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input engineering and mass productions process conditions for all existing product line
  • Maintain process control on all existing product line at internal and external foundries locations
  • Troubleshoot and support all process issues, including any low yield problems
  • Convert engineering processes to frozen mass production processes
  • Set wafer targets specs certificate of design for all wafer die product development
  • Maintain weekly meetings with internal fabs and foundries to resolve any outstanding issues
  • Support new process development including technology advancement and design
  • Support new design of masks in new product development
  • Work with QRA on Product change Notifications to customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • BSEE or equivalent required. MSEE or similar MS degree a plus
  • 3 - 8 years related experience as an Process Engineer, Product Engineer or similar position
  • Team player as well as be able to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities
  • Familiar with discrete semiconductors; diodes, rectifiers and high voltage devices
  • Knowledge of discrete semiconductor fab and manufacturing processes advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written including presentations
  • Ability to travel up to 35% including protracted trips overseas outside of the USA
  • Self-directed, self-started and proactive problem solver
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Environment
  • Efficient time management skills, good work ethic
  • Mandarin Chinese language skills desired, but not required
