Direct Digital Feedback Amplifier (DDFA^™) technology is the unique, exceptional performance architecture used to create outstanding digital preamplifiers and DACs. DDFA enables audio solutions capable of producing a sound quality to challenge that of the very best competitive products, particularly in multi-channel applications such as AV receivers, AV preamplifier/processors and computer sound cards.

The DDFA DAC performance outstrips many multi channel competitive products offering a capability equal to or better than many two channel differential products. A DNR of 120dB can be achieved in single ended mode with the ZXCZM800 providing 8 high performance DAC channels. In high performance mode 126dB can be achieved.

The preamplifier functions available in the ZXCZM800 enables products with performance advantage as well as offering additional value adding features. For example, integrated volume controls operate on zero crossing and introduce no additional distortion no matter what level they are set to. Features such as multiple digital audio inputs enable designers to easily add valuable features to product specifications. Additionally DSP capabilities enable integrated parametric EQ, limiting and compression features which are easily controlled via a host processor.
